Danish Jeanne d'Arc in English - Highly recommended!
Their style is romantic French Nordic,
from years gone by.
The latest issue, of their magazine, was the first one to be printed to English
& that was a wise move, in my opinion, since they now have a big circle of
followers here in the States (-& other English speaking countries as well)
From cover to cover, everything flows together,
whether it's French decor or making blueberry pie!
If you want inspiration & tons of ideas, this is the best magazine;-or should I say, bookazine, as I understand it's also called!
The quality of pictures & paper are a share delight!
Different US online sellers offers this on their web sites.
These are sellers I have found:
The Beautiful Life
Urban Farmhouse
Raised in Cotton
French Larkspur

(Pictures from Jeanne d'Arc Living website)Go to THIS French blog, A Heart in Provence, & feast the eye upon her pictures.
Her outfits are the prettiest I've seen,
for everyday wear!
Does anyone know, IF we can buy these brands in the States??????
Picture below from Swedish Minna's BLOMSTERVERKSTAD.
Her blog is another one, I'll highly recommend to go visit

THEY SAY LINEN & WOOL, FOR FALL & WINTER
"The Nicest Home", of 70 contestants..
Here is a video(click) with a walk through of the house!
Starts on the 2:14 clip.
Idyllic & romantic French-Danish Country style.
(this is not the house in video)
are big for this coming fall & winter;-
in gray & shades of dusty colors.
From the latest furniture expo in Shanghai (largest fair in the world),
the trend is to make bigger furniture pieces, like kitchen cabinets,
from old & weathered salvage walls, floors etc.
Norwegian TV2 use "Fru Pink" NIB (a blogger)
to express ins & outs of decor/interior.
IKEA (Norway) also uses blog ladies for latest input!
I'll say: Start approaching my friends for the latest & greatest in the US!
From another Norwegian blogger: Hvitstil.com. Thanks, Christine!
This must be the hottest idea for a great gift;-
well, at least for yourself.... a heirloom of memories:
Turn your blog into a printed book!
*I checked it out, but looks to only accept pictures that's been downloaded with Blogger/Picasa.
Sometimes I use another photo host, so those pictures won't show up.*
Anywhooo, Go to this site and check it out -

PORTLAND, THE BIG CITY, CLOSE TO HOME
a lazy Sunday afternoon on 23rd in Portland,
is a great way to enjoy lunch, people-watching
& strolling alongside old & newer architectural buildings that
houses a myriad of different shops & restaurants.
because of the very, very, good coffee & dessert selection
(no 6 layers Bavarian cream cake for me today..)
REJUVENATION, on SE Grand Ave.,
that has the best of the best in salvage building materials!

CAMAS VINTAGE STREET FAIR TODAY WAS A HIT
all though I felt so sorry for the vendors this morning,
when we woke up to pouring rain!
My husband & I went there after lunch, but I forgot my camera, so please
search my blog roll for full coverage from other bloggers...
My fellow seller friends, Debbie & Laurie aka "Worthy Goods" were in charge
of the event & did a GREAT job! So did all the other vendors!
*Next year I'm in!*

From Isabell aka "Maison Douce", this little box of darling coasters & etiquette book
had my name all over :o)
the roses are tired,
the birdhouse, that housed the honey bees, is now vacant. Only a lonely soldier left to guard!

FRENCH & NORDIC COUNTRY STYLE
Arrived beautifully wrapped from the online store
THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE
Here is also a link to her blog (click)
If you want your copy, hurry up, because it sells out fast!
(Bookstores don't sell this)
(All pictures from Jeanne D'Arc Living web site)This book has been on my wish list for quite some time & now it's mine!
All though written in the Danish language, it's a visual feast for the eyes!
This is a big size book, printed on thick paper, suitable for the coffee table.
Divided into 11 chapters, there are ideas for every room
in the house & all in the French-Nordic Country style
from the same authors
that creates "Jeanne d'Arc Living" Magazine.
The only thing I can think of to "disagree upon" when I look at the delicate pictures,
is that our grandmothers never would have set tables with wrinkly linens,
to go with their best china & silverware :o)
